A book by Debbie Nathan and Michael Snedeker
As the title of the book suggests, this book is about the "witch hunts" that took place in the 1980s in California in Day Care Centers which soon spread to other states and then other countries. By the 1990s, it was well established that there was no concrete evidence to show that ritual abuse occurred or any other kind of abuse by the people accused of pedophilia. Yet in Nachlaot 20 years later, parents are using articles published in the 1980s and 1990s that have since been discredited, to support their claims that their children have been molested for the purpose of brainwashing them to convert them to the Christian religion. Their idea is similar to the idea which was circulating in the 1980s that the day care workers were trying to get the children to worship Satan.A must read for anyone interested in understanding Nachlaot.
